Our story
It all started with a simple but revolutionary idea – to replace plastics in everyday products with sustainable alternatives that repurpose waste. Our founder, Josef, and his team spent several years searching for solutions based on their previous manufacturing experience. Finally, in 2018, they discovered how to combine wood flour with natural polymers, giving birth to our iconic fork.
Since then, we’ve continued the evolution that led to the founding of Refork in 2019. Our small workshop in Prague has been transformed into an innovative factory, where we have refined our materials and expanded our product line to include cutlery sets. In November 2021, we opened our new factory. Our production is based locally in the Czech Republic, which will always be our priority.
