Injection Molding

Injection molding is a manufacturing process in which molten material is injected into a mold, allowed to cool and solidify and then retrieved.

At Refork, we use injection molding to manufacture our cutlery. We use our own specially developed biodegradable material, which is made from a mixture of nature-based materials and is free from harmful chemicals. Our injection molding process ensures that each product has a consistent quality and finish.

Extrusion

Material processing via extrusion serves for shaping raw material into continuous profiles using a die. The principle involves melting raw material and forcing it through a die to determine the shape, and then cooling it to solidify the desired form.

Compared to other technologies, extrusion offers cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and the ability to produce products with consistent dimensions. In the context of drinking straws, extrusion enables the mass production of uniform, customizable straws with various colors and sizes, highlighting its versatility and applicability in creating everyday items.
